what to eat Wednesday-Chocolate Chip Brownies

When we lived in Oregon we made the best friends...they are truly what helped us make it through that year. They are part of the reason we look back on that year with all of Luke's surgeries with fondness. One family, the Barnetts had us over all the time. Holly Barnett, is my kids favorite cook-(2nd only to Grandma!)
This is one of her recipes...

Chocolate Chip Brownies-
3/4 cup cocoa
2/3 cup butter
4 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 bag chocolate chips

Melt butter, add cocoa and oil. Stir well. Beat in eggs and gradually beat in sugar. Blend in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to batter. Blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread into greased and floured 9x13 pan.
Bake@ 350 for 35-40 minutes.
Cool.

I love that it makes a 9X13 size. Many brownie recipes are only for 8X8 and that is just not enought brownies!!

Yummy! Thanks for sharing. I think I need to wait a while before trying these. I'm afraid I would eat them all myself!
