SPT-what was I thinking
Lelly's challenge for spt this week
was
"what was I thinking?"
so-
what was I thinking leaving an 18 month old to wander at will while I checked my email?
This is what I found first-
chair pulled up to kitchen counter, scissors, marker and cough drops- 1 unwrapped and in mouth, and two more in hand waiting to be consumed.
Next
fish tank something or other
upstairs-
this is where the fishtank is-downstairs- and the tank stuff is underneath- he can cleverly reach behind it now and pull stuff out apparently.
(notice all the cards- and chair- these cards had been picked up once this morning)
What was I thinking letting him wander while I tidied up the other messes?
yes I had the camera in my back pocket -I came around the corner to see him on the
stool picking up the kids medicine from this morning-
Then I went into the kitchen and saw this
another kitchen chair pulled up to another drawer- the drawer that holds the screwdrivers, and such-(notice the paint can right above the drawer with the lid slightly ajar)
WHAT WAS I THINKING?
Time to get out the velcro and bungee cords and attach him to me!

he's too cute to be a criminal!!
On days like that, I wish I could velcro my kids to the wall - not to me!
love it! I can relate to your post. I'm so lucky that my little one is still to short to get up on things, but it doesn't keep her from trying!
Sounds like my day with my 3 yr old.. My girls are Always like this.
I love your little ones pj's there so cute... Thank heavens he didn't get the paint can open!!!
This too shall pass! But he is oh, so cute.
Hee Hee! I have many of those, "what was I thinking" Momma moments! He is so cute! Love the picture of the two of you!
18 months is such a busy, but fun time. Thank goodness the paint can didn't open. It is amazing how fast they can cause trouble.
He is a very smart young man...keeping you busy I can see! Taking full advantage of his mommy at work!
This is a very good topic for this SPT! Oh the damage a toddler can do in such a short amount of time. The fact that you have this one documented with photos is going to be priceless someday.
Oh, I don't miss those days! Oh wait, I am still in them - with a 4 year old! Today, I heard (while checking MY email) Little Man say to himself "I'm all wet." When I called to him to see if I could help him, I was told "Don't come in here!" Oh right, like I won't come in there now!! Little Turkey! (happened to be a bathroom accident, as usual)
We are doing fine - thanks for checking on me - have been doing some soul searching about blogging - might post on that soon. Hope you enjoy the book - it is different so let me know what you think!

My he is busy -- and fast. Got love how he pulls the chairs over to get into things. Smart kid!
It's amazing how much trouble a little one can get into in such a short amount of time. You are wise to carry the camera in your pocket!
Oh wow you've got your hands full with that adorable little guy. He's a clever one for sure.
Alisa, I see your SPT logo on the sidebar says grab it or link to it...I'd like to use it too...is that ok! Not sure how to go about doing it though (I'm most definitely technically challenged!) If it's ok to borrow it, any suggestions.
You do have your work cut out for you. :-) Good thing he is so cute. I think they come that way so eventhough they wreck havick we still love them! They do grow out of that phase, sort of. :-)
Alisa...your a doll!
Thank you for sharing your great logo and thank you bunches for the directions. It worked great!
Been there!!
Man he is soo darn cute-
What a busy little man he is! I love the scene of his many crimes with the all-telling chair as his accomplice.
Cute!
I'm thinking he gave you a free blog post. What could be better than that?
When my son was that age I had to lock the chairs away every morning in order to keep my sanity. He's 17 now and fabulous. I always say that I'd rather have a crazy toddler than teenager.
So funny! He certainly can get around quickly - what a busy little guy! You must be tired :)
this wears me out just looking at it - you are one busy woman!
