Holiday lights bring me JOY!
Having our tree up with lights brings me joy.
The JOY in the tree really does bring me joy!
A friend gave this to me when I lived in OR- and I love it. I love it even more since I started putting it in the tree last year!
This year, so far all we have on the tree is lights, plaid ribbon and this joy. And I am totally fine with that. I have loved sitting in this room with the tree lights on. Everything is so simple. And I am not constantly worrying about the kids getting into the tree. Tucker is more "into" things this year than last and to eliminate the stress I have not done any ornaments, yet.

Our tree is naked on the bottom half. Our 16 month old son "helped" us redecorate it only a day after we decorated it. Lesson learned. Maybe next year we'll have a simple tree. I like that idea!

I like a tree with just white lights, too. My kids insist on the ornaments, though.
