I like having a new start.
I like having time to re-evaluate our life. Where we are going, and what we want. Personally and as a family. Our relationships with each other and our kids.
I like looking back over the previous year and seeing where we have been, how far we have come, what we want to do different. What we want to add. What we want to get rid off. What we want to change.
Kids are back to school and with that comes a mix of emotions. I never enjoy them going back and going back to the school schedule. For instance we were: up, dressed, lunches made, music practiced, breakfast eaten, family scriptures read and out the door this morning before the time I would get out of bed on our Christmas break. It feels so different without all the family home. I miss them. Our days just feel right when we are all home. This break felt like such a blessing to just be home. To celebrate time together.
But there is a plus side to things. I am back to making hot breakfasts. (We ate a lot of cereal!)
I can blog a little more-and boy oh boy do I have a lot to catch up on. (there are many drafts ready to edit.) I can clean up and clean out. I can focus time on Tucker and on Luke.
I can make this year anything I want it to. Right now it is all up to me and my attitude.
What do you love about the new year?
