We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him.
We will "stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things,
and in all places" as we strive to live
the Young Women values, which are:
Faith
Divine Nature
Individual Worth
Knowledge
Choice and Accountability
Good Works
Integrity and
Virtue.
We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values,
we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants,
receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.

Savanna got to attend a portion of her Sunday meetings with the girls from our youth group. After turning 12 she is officially in the Young Women organization.
Each Sunday all the women meet together for a brief time and repeat the theme before breaking into classes. I got to stand with Savanna and repeat this theme along with all the other women. I put my arm around her. I remembered being her age. I remembered repeating this same theme. I remembered what strength it gave me. I thought about how important that time of my life was. What experiences I had that have stayed with me. How the decisions I made during those years affect what I am doing today. I felt excited for her and the life she has ahead of her. I felt just teensy bit overwhelmed that she is growing up.
I am grateful for an organization who's purpose is to help each of these young women to come unto Christ. I can't think of any other place I would rather her be.

What a great moment. That picture is wonderful but makes her look way to grown up. God Bless You!
