Just to be honest

On Tuesday, Meghan left a comment about our computer being the first thing you could see as you walked in the front door.

Back in November, Meghan wrote on her blog some nice things about me, but I had to share the truth then on this post.

And now today I have to share the truth again. The computer you saw in the photos Meghan, is not where I keep all the day to day paperwork, bills, scout books, primary church binder, etc. etc. Its not where I usually sit to edit my photos, or to check email or blog.

Just a few weeks ago, Jay came home with the computer you can see as you enter the house. I love having it where it is. I can always see what the kids are doing on the computer. And I think what I love most about it, is that it has moved my mess away from that desk. I now have a closet that I stand at to do my computer time.

Sometimes I pull up a chair or stool, but for the most part I stand. I love being able to just quickly do something at the computer standing up- then walk away and close the doors. Very low commitment, and no mess to look at.

So I wanted to show you, that I still have a mess. It is just not visible!

(and I still have laundry piles- last night I sat down with Jay and a great movie, to iron. As I got into my 7th item, the iron popped, sparked and smoked. The end of the iron. I was happy and sad at the same time-glad that I finished everyones clothes for sunday, glad that I could stop for the night, glad that I get to shop for a new iron. Sad that I would still have piles waiting for me- and sad that I have to get a new iron.)

I love the closet! That seems like the perfect workstation. I have been looking at plans for new homes (just for fun.) and a lot of the new ones have built in desks in or off the kitchen that they are labeling "command center." It looks like that is what you have there.

That is great! I love that you stand, because it really does make it quick. I tend to sit and get really, really comfortable.

You are so kind to do this for us, show us that you are human and have a bit of "untidy" around. But...my untidy can beat up your untidy. Unfortunately.
