One of the songs that we sang to Nana, and that she had asked to have sung at her funeral is
Swing Low Sweet Chariot.
"I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?
Coming for to carry me home,
A band of angels coming after me,
Coming for to carry me home."
The band of angels came to carry her home.
She is reunited and attending a great family reunion. Back with her husband. With her parents, and siblings.
"If you get there before I do,
Coming for to carry me home,
Tell all my friends I’m coming, too.
Coming for to carry me home."
We will all join her too someday.
"I’m sometimes up and sometimes down,
Coming for to carry me home,
But still my soul feels heavenly bound,
Coming for to carry me home."
It is sad for her to go, and sad to say goodbye. Sad to watch my Mother, lose her Mother.
I know where to seek strength, and know that this is but a passing on to the next life.
"The brightest day that I can say,
Coming for to carry me home,
When Jesus washed my sins away,
Coming for to carry me home."
I rely on the Savior, Jesus Christ to comfort and heal. He not only suffered for sins, but sorrows and hurts. He is the One to lean on and to seek.
Thank you for you kind words, your prayers and your love.
It means much to me and my family.

You're in my thoughts... good luck during this emotional time. I hope you are flooded with happy memories and a sweet spirit.
Hey you can not have 2 friends with the same name who comment on the same post. Oh well.
We am thinking of you at this sad time. I wish I could bring you dinner or something with frosting. Or just watch your children or anything to help. Love you from far away.
