what to eat-Fresh Apple Cake



Here is another apple yummy-
had to share it for the fall.
I got this from Holly
who got it from Karen
who I am sure got it from somebody..


Fresh Apple Cake
Combine
4 cups grated apples (peeled and shredded)
2 eggs
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
then add
2 cups flour mixed with
2 tsp soda
Pour into 9x13 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

Sauce
1 cube butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk (or cream)
1 TB flour
1 tsp vanilla
Bring to a boil- 1 minute until thick

Serve cake topped with caramel sauce and freshly whipped, sweetened cream.

Is this the cake you served after choir practice one time. If so, I have dreamt about this cake I am so happy to get the recipe. In fact I am having company for dinner tonight and this just might solve my desert problem!! Yippee
