When we got back from our trip I had a fun package waiting for me.I love the personalized stationary set that she gave me.
And I am now ready to do my give away!
I have already picked 2 random winners, and will pick 2 more. (OK, they are not so random- my mom and my mother-in-law, but I really wanted to give them each one!
Here are the rules:
1- If you would like to participate but can’t pay it forward if you win-please enter anyway!
2-Even if you live far away, I will send it. But I will only have US flags in them. (sorry!)
3-To enter yourself in the Pay it Forward giveaway, simply leave a comment on this blog post.
But here is the fun part:
I have always loved the song that I sang in primary at church as a kid:
"Oh what do you do in the summertime?"
In your comment, you've got to tell me (and my blog readers) about your favorite thing to do in the summer.
Maybe it is something that you used to do, and have not done in a long time.
Maybe it is something that means "summer" to you- it just would not be summer without it.
Or maybe it is something that you have always wanted to do.
Maybe it is just something that sounds wonderful and you might now try it after writing it down.
Whatever it is let me know. I can't wait to send these out- I have them finished and ready to mail!
(I would not let myself do the contest until they were ready!)
OK- you have through Tuesday the 24th to enter- I will pick on Wednesday morning!
Thanks for playing- I am excited to see what everyone loves to do in the summer time!
Oh what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you fish in the stream, or lazily dream on the banks as the clouds go by?
Is that what you do? So do I!Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool, or swing in a tree up high?
Is that what you do? So do I!Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you march in parades, or drink lemonades, or count all the stars in the sky?
Is that what you do? So do I!

although summer here (Mississippi) can be miserably hot, summer means being outside from going to the beach, to the lake, picnics in the shade, running through a sprinkler, bike riding, watergun fights, going fishing, the ice cream man, flipflops, fireworks & swimming (lots and lots of swimming).
Summer = BBQ
I just love a summer evening when the smell of BBQ is in the air. I have always wanted to just follow the smell of the grill and introduce myself to some new neighbors and make new friends. My parents have never had good air conditioning so my Mom almost never turns on the oven in the summer, so everything is thrown on the grill. And now about half the time I call they say, "We just lit up the grill." And how I wish I could just pop over.
I have to agree with Meghan about the BBQ. The thing I miss most about "home" is getting together with the entire family at my grandparent's home. BBQ brisket, potato salad, baked beans...sitting outside on the deck, watching all of the little cousins playing in the yard...sharing stories and reminising. (please forgive me - I can't spell!)
Here in Texas, we either go to the pool or stay inside with the air conditioning!
I love to paint my tonails! I know I can do this whenever but for some reason summer = painted tonails!
thanks for a fun giveaway!
Other than yummy food on the grill (twice in the last week) I have to say that my new summer favorite is going to be having my children all to myself again. SO GREAT!
I love putting my kids in outdoor swimming lessons... playing in the grass in the evening... outside bbq's... popsicles...
mud. i like mud.
