I have still been recycling, I have been putting everything into the separate bins in the garage and then taking it to my mom's.I am excited to see what the city has come up with- and what I can do to help.

Oh--I am so jealous!!
We are waiting to see if they will start a program here. They are offering one, but we have to get 2000 residents to sign up for it before they will start. I really wish our city council would have had more leadership and just made it mandatory...and then we would already have started! I am keeping my fingers crossed and planning on canvassing my neighborhood with flyers!
Yeah!! We were so thrilled to have recycling available when we moved from Pay. to Pro.
The city contracts with Waste Management for it, they don't actually do it themselves, so maybe yours will be a similar deal. Ours is $5 month and worth every penny. We have a blue can for recycling, a black can for trash and a green can for yard waste. The blue can is only picked up every other week and by the time it is picked up, we usually have about a half a can worth of stuff waiting to go in. I've honestly been considering getting another one...I'm glad yours is starting up!
