the sun will come out

*dark dark sky
*grumbling children arguing over who buckled first and who needs to move so that the other one
can get in
*a 2 year old who does not want to wear socks or shoes and is kicking me in the stomach because
I am thwarting his plans of not getting into a carseat
*2 children singing loudly to try and drown out the sound of the one that is whining

I have to remind myself that I am grateful, this is what I want ... Praise for the noise that is my life. I would miss it if they were gone.

Oh I so understand!!! My girls have turned into such naughty girls. They are constantly getting into things they shouldn't & breaking things etc...

"the joy of motherhood come in moments." This short trip to school wasn't one of those. I remember what that was like when you all were little. I admire how you are able to see the bigger picture, take it in stride as part of the mother experience, and stay centered and happy. As always, I'm proud of the person and mother you are.

I often find myself saying, to myself, "I will miss this." over and over again.
Of course, my mom did mention the other day that she did NOT miss it! ha! :)

I miss the sound of Kayte's laugh coming from downstairs. She laughs with such freedom and zeal. I miss hearing how Kayte and Missy work out important things (still) like who will sit in the front seat, what movie will they watch...

Kayte is coming home today for Spring Break. I am more grateful for some noises than others, and I am sure that by the end of the week, I will be making a conscious effort to notice the ones I am grateful for... Ah, parenthood...

Yes, we would miss it if they were TRULY gone...but we all long for a break or two from the insanity!!

By the way, have I ever showed you my picture when I was 9 and I sang "Tomorrow" in the talent show? My mom made me the little red dress (still have it--Liberty was Annie for Halloween last year) and my hair was a red afro! My uncle wanted to put me in a look-alike contest : )

When we were at BYU with you I took a picture of two screaming kids and a tipped plant disaster so I could laugh over it later. Mainly I laugh because I thought that was a hard day. Now that's like every day, but unfortunately this party won't last forever. Good for you, for keeping your balance.
