Back to School Dinner

(wreath made from Luke's 100 day project last year= 100 pages of a book)
Sunday night we had our Back to School / Summer Reading dinner.

We successfully read 5 books out loud together over the summer.
We picked food from each book to make up our dinner.

Gourmet "frozen" pizza

Brown Bread- (It really was fast and easy.)

We toasted the new school year, and a wonderful summer- and talked about all the fun we had.

We talked about which book was our favorite, the parts of the story that we would remember how it made all of us laugh and the book that made all of us cry.

After our dinner and discussion we had back to school Father's blessings from Dad.

Then we finished the evening with double dip cones.

A new tradition has begun!

Oh Alisa! What a grand idea. I'm passing this idea on to my sister, Rachel, and I'm saving it for me someday, too.

Truly, what a great idea.

Your posts make me happy. You make me happy. Thank you.

I forgot to mention I love your hanging rolling pins. And the book wreath? Brilliant!

What a fun night! You're so clever, wish I was that clever - but now I can borrow your idea!
