Happy 11th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAN!

Today was Savanna's 11th birthday- and what a day it was!
We started out with Savanna's favorite thing for breakfast-(blueberry goodness-mmmyum!)
Then she went and got a manicure with her Aunt.
After that, she got to have lunch alone with Jay and me. She was so excited- she wanted to do it so bad, that she gave up going to the movies with 2 friends in favor of having lunch! We ate a yummy lunch at macaroni grill, and totally enjoyed telling Savanna stories from about her life, and when she was born!
She had 2 friends over and we went swimming for the afternoon.
We came home and had her favorite dinner, and her pig cake!
And Savanna remembered on her own to get me flowers.
There was a tradition in my family growing up, that we gave our moms flowers on our birthday, and thanked her for giving us our birthday. It was a tradition, that I wanted to carry on. And sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't. But this year, it did. Savanna reminded Jay over and over that they had an errand to do. Thank you so much!

Letter to our daughter on her 11th birthday.
How has 11 years gone by?
I see you changing so much- but am so grateful for the parts that are not changing.
We love to watch you play with your brothers, we are so glad that you decided that playing with them is just another form of "acting" or "directing" your own show. Because you do this, they love you, and will have wonderful memories of their fun creative older sister.
We love how friendly you are with others. You always have been. You would talk to anyone that would listen. Sometimes it would make us nervous. But you would just keep right on talking.
We love to hear you sing! We love listening to, and watching the shows that you put on with your brothers.
We love that you are opinionated and how you don't back down from things that you feel strongly about- even if its different from what mom and dad think.
We love your love of reading! That we can always find you with a book. Even if you are busy doing something else, you have one ready and waiting.
We love your creativity.
We love your desire to do whats right.
We love your sensitivity.
WE LOVE YOU BEAN!
Keep smiling
Keep singing-remember- you don't sing because you are happy, you are happy because you sing!
We love you 142-
mom & dad

No the cake was not hard- just a bundt cake frosted with stawberry frosting, then a small bowl upside down in the middle covered with frosting. Then I cut a stawberry marshmallow in half for the ears, strawberry malt balls with mini m&m's for eyes, and then another strawberry marshmallow with mini m&m's for the nose. Then dip a toothpick into food coloring and lightly trace a mouth.
